5th October 2006: We've had a make-over!   To celebrate our 8th anniversary we've upgraded www.ssek.co.uk   Hopefully you'll now find the site easier to navigate.  Please do let us know if you have any comments.

September 2006: McAfee Anti-virus which you can purchase from our "Anti-Virus Software" page has been awarded numerous Product awards. The 2006 range will be released nest month.

13th July 2006: That's all folks... we've just sold the last copy of Quicken that we had.   If you want Quicken now we think your best bet is probably Ebay!

6th July 2006: Well we can see that Quicken is still extremely popular by the number of requests we are getting about the product.  At the time of writing we only have 7 copies of Quicken XG left!   Bear in mind that QuickBooks SimpleStart has just been reduced in price and we now have it available for just £42.00.    While SimpleStart is aimed primarily at the very small business it will handle home accounts quite happily.

12th February 2006: For a number of reasons, we still have not received stock of the 2006 edition.   We can only apologise for the delay and we do, of course, understand if any customers with unfulfilled orders wish to cancel.

7th February 2006: We are converting the information pages from QuickBooks 2004 to 2006 today.   Some 2004 products will remain available.

20th January 2006: We have just received information that Quicken and TaxCalc will NOT be updated in 2006.  While Quicken 2004 will remain a viable package and will be supported by Intuit until 31st January 2006, we feel that TaxCalc will have no real value after this year's self-assessment is due and we are therefore withdrawing the product from sale.

9th January 2006: We have just added our own "Which QuickBooks?" tool.  This should help you decide which version of QuickBooks is right for you and your business.  Remember, this tool should only be used as a guide.

 

21st December 2004: Christmas Opening Times: SSEK Offices will not be staffed from Friday 24th December 2004 until Monday 3rd January 2006.   Any orders placed during this period will not be processed until Monday 3rd January at the earliest.   2004 has been a fantastic year for us and we would like to thank all our clients for their custom over the past year.

10th December 2004: Intuit have confirmed that QuickBooks 2006 will be released in the UK in Q1 2006.   We will post the exact date here when it is confirmed.

3rd December 2004: Owing to changes that are being made at Intuit, we are currently experiencing difficulty in obtaining some of the product range.  Please accept our apologies if your order is delayed- we will keep you updated as much as possible.8th October 2004: QuickBooks Sunset Policy.  We strongly recommend that all those still using QuickBooks 2003 or editions released prior to 2003 consult the following link which relates to product support from Intuit.   If you are using a version of QuickBooks that is not supported or will soon become un-supported, you increase the risk to your business because you will not be able to seek help from the publishers if there are any problems. http://www.quickbooks.co.uk/v6v8news.php
